With all the technology available to us, there's no excuse for getting the family lost in an unfamiliar place or stuck in hours of traffic on holidays. GPS is a great devise for in-car use and it’s just as useful when on foot plus it's a great way to get around a foreign city too. With GPS Rental services this device became even more available and useful. Drivers can find their way through city streets; long reserve trekkers and hikers use the technology to navigate unfamiliar terrain. GPS devices are even more helpful for planning a trip, whether it's a cross-country trek or a hopscotch tour of your routine stops.

But GPS not only gets you from point A to point B with minimum hassle, it also makes your holiday come alive; with ways to plan your itinerary, track down the best restaurants, and make your holiday more enjoyable.

Here's a few handy GPS travel tips to help you get the most out of the holiday and avoid the travel woes.

GPS TIPS

1.	If you intend to rely on your GPS unit, take time to learn it before needing it. Get the manual out, work with setting waypoints and determining position. This will save you time on the road and prevent you from loading incorrect information or deleting valuable information by mistake.

2.	Ensure that you install the maps prior to travel. This will enable you to browse and test the maps prior to embarking on your trip. Make sure you are familiar with the route calculation settings of your device.

3.	Power is an issue. All GPS models will need to be recharged. Make sure you have enough batteries for the trip or pack a universal adapter in your luggage. Battery life of GPS devices vary, so it is important to have a cigarette lighter charger as you do not want to run out of juice when you are on the road.

4.	Avoid leaving GPS device mounted on the windshield in a hot car for long periods of time. It is also a good way to prevent the device from being stolen, since even leaving the window screen mount in view is an advertisement that a GPS device may be in the car.

5.	Most car navigation systems include an extensive POI database including restaurants along the interstate. Choose the cuisine you want and your GPS will display a list of results by proximity. Filter out only those along your route and your forward seeking food radar will update faster.

6.	Some GPS devices also contain useful travel advice which can be very helpful if you are unfamiliar with road rules in other countries. For example, some device menus contain guides for multiple countries and cover local road rules, public holidays, accommodation advice and more.

7.	When navigating to a place, it may be easier to search for a place by name rather than address. For example if you wish to visit the British Museum in London you can find it listed under museums as a point of interest and be able to navigate there without knowing the exact address.

8.	And most importantly, make sure you dust off your GPS-knowledge and get the upper hand on your pending trip before you embark. Just be smart and make good use of your GPS.

Which is the criteria to tell which are the best cell phones on the market? There are so many factors influencing the classification, not to mention that producers come up with something new they also claim to be superior. Just like in other electronic sectors, mobile communications involve complex classifications based on subjective and objective factors. Thus, we tend to consider that the best cell phones are those jam-packed with complex features. In fact, the phone menus have become so intricate that one could even have troubles operating them and not be able to use the features at their full capacity.

Moreover, there are all sorts of subjective factors that determine a characterization, but personal taste and the necessity to use certain features predominate. A traveler will prefer cells that have a long battery life and advanced WAP features, enabling the quick connection to the Internet. If one enjoys taking pictures, a phone with a good built-in camera will be the most suitable. Thus, whether clamshells, bars or sliders, USB charging options and touch screens, display mode and design, all make decisive elements that one considers when purchasing a phone. Moreover, the idea of best cell phones becomes relevant in relation to the price category as well.

Therefore, the best cell phones can be identified by their price, by their manufacturer, by features, by the exclusive software use and so on. If considering by market reception, certain models can be classified as the best cell phones of the moment, and for the time being this title is commonly shared by smart phones. Designs that allow satellite access, TV watching while also offering rotative touch screens are but a few of the most costly elements incorporated in the communication devices people now rely on.

All in all, you can enjoy the best cell phones only if you have an unlimited budget. The top-notch cell today will lose its value within six months or a year because there will be other models bringing something new, a form of improvement that the others lack. Thus, there is a permanent competition even between products belonging to the same manufacturing company, and this speed of innovation and replacement remains formative and characteristic for our century. Our best cell phones do nothing but constantly remind us of this urge.

Best GPS Cell Phones

How can one decide which are the best gps cell phones? There are so many factors influencing the classification, not to mention that every new year brings several novelties from various manufacturers all claiming superiority over the previous designs. This means that just like with the computer sector, mobile communications depend on a wide range of classification factors both objective and subjective. Thus, we tend to consider that the best gps cell phones are those jam-packed with complex features. In fact, the phone menus have become so intricate that one could even have difficulty operating them let alone take full advantage of the options.

Moreover, identifying the best gps cell phones is also a matter of subjective factors like personal taste and the way in which one depends on certain features. A person who travels a lot will surely look for those cells that have a long battery life and comprehensive WAP features, enabling the quick connection to the Internet. Then, proficient built-in cameras suit anyone eager to immortalize precious moments spontaneously. Display, design, touch screens, USB charging options, bars, sliders or clamshells: they all make important decision factors one considers when purchasing a phone. Moreover, the concept of best gps cell phones should also be analyzed in relation to the price category to which it belongs.

Therefore, one can identify the best gps cell phones by their price, by their manufacturer, by features, by the exclusive software use and so on. If considering by market reception, certain models can be classified as the best cell phones of the moment, and for the time being this title is commonly shared by smart phones. Designs with TV facilities, rotative screens that allow a superior viewing angle, touch screens and satellite access are but a few of the most costly specifics incorporated in the communication devices people now rely on.

All in all, we can say in plain honesty that it costs pretty dearly to be always up-to-date with the latest best gps cell phones. Your top-notch cell today won't have the same value in six months or a year because there will be other models bringing something new, a form of improvement that the others lack. Thus, there is a permanent competition even between products belonging to the same manufacturing company, and this speed of innovation and replacement remains formative and characteristic for our century. Our best gps cell phones do nothing but constantly remind us of this.

Bluetooth headsets sales have been more than doubling on a global basis for the last several years. We are talking in the hundreds of millions sold. So what is the hype? Why are Bluetooth headsets so popular? For starters they are chosen not only for their functionality but also for their wearability. Bluetooth headsets are generally very lightweight, worn over one ear and achieve talk times from 1-4 hours before needing a recharge.

Bluetooth headsets are being tailored to fit your most fashionable needs. They are small, elegant headsets that usually weigh in at only 7.9 grams. These headsets truly are a state-of-the-art technological advancement and this technology is just out there waiting for you! Bluetooth headsets are the hands-free solution to communicating with friends and family while driving. With such a large and growing market it should be easy to find a bluetooth headset that will accommodate everyones needs and wants.

Some wireless headsets have a range of 100 metres (300 feet). Bluetooth headsets are only good for a range of about 1 meter (30 feet). So if you need to move a reasonable distance from your desk or away from your mobile phone you will need to have a wireless headset rather than a bluetooth.

Hence, a 10th century Danish king, Harald Blatand, is where the "Bluetooth" got its name. Blatand I unified Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. The king had an affinity for teeth-staining blueberries, according to legend.

This device was first developed by Ericsson and was actually formalized in 1999, Bluetooth has then provided its own way of differentiating a device that is capable of communicating with other similar devices. This is through the sending data via a low cost and secure radio frequency. Its specifications were later developed and licensed by the so-called Bluetooth Special Interest Group (areas of telecommunication, computing, networking, and consumer electronics).

If you are looking for battery life, the Plantronics Voyager 510 provides up to 12 hours of wireless talk time over your PC and pairs to your phone at the same time. With one press of a button you can switch back and forth between your PC and phone. Plantronics Bluetooth headsets are extensively used in many Fortune 500 corporations. They have been featured in numerous films and also many high-profile events.

Bluetooth headsets offer a convenient and user-friendly wireless connection. This is with the use of a Bluetooth-enabled cell phone. With its 30 feet range (10 meters) capacity, cell phones can talk with other headsets using this technology. Aside from this, PCs can talk to keyboards or printers as well. Thus, talking with each other, without the need for wires can make up about seven connections at a single time. This is even with a speed of 1 Mbps.

No matter which bluetooth you choose, most well known manufacturers make a quality headset. Your choice will boil down to what features and options you want to have. Do your research and find which one offers the features you need and want at a price that meets your budget.

by Stephanie Summers

The newest generation of phones are the smart phones. These sometimes expensive cell phones are considered as big of an advancement as cell phones were to landlines. These smart phones have revolutionized the way we run business, run our lives and influence how we interact with the world at large.

I will first give a brief summary of what a smart phone is. A smart phone is an advanced cell phone that has the capabilities of a PDA or small laptop that fits in your pocket and has a much longer battery life. The smart phone can usually operate multiple functions at once, called applications. These applications can do things from making reservations at restaurants to video chatting with your friends to giving your laptop 3G internet access no matter where you are in the world.

Pros: The smart phone can be a fully functional mp3 player, just like an ipod or any other mp3 player on the market. The only difference is the battery life will not be as good because you are using it for other things, and typically the storage ranges from 4 to 16 GB however some phones are known to have as high as 32GB of storage.

You can also have unique features such as touchscreen and motion sensing that while they do help you to interact readily and easily with any of the applications you can also play fun games that have never dreamed of before.

Cons: One of the biggest problems is the battery life of most smart phones. As they have a processor and do complex tasks they use up a lot of their battery. Also their bright and high resolution displays often eat up battery life. However soon to be on the market are Organic LED phones which will almost double the battery life of current smart phones.

The biggest con of course is the monthly charge. If you think the initial cost of the phone is steep, it is nothing compared to the 1000+ dollars you will be spending a year, and you can anticipate using a smart phone for 2 to 3 years before they need replacing or upgrading.

With all of these pros and cons considered you need to first figure out whether or not you really need this phone in your life and whether or not you can support the monthly charges. The smart phone can furfill many functions in your life, ranging from looking cool and showing off to friends, for pure entertainment value with mp3, video, and gaming capabilities, to completely operating your personal business ventures with the email and web capabilities. It mostly comes down to the cost of the phone. If you have the extra money and are willing to spend it, you will find the smart phone is a great thing to have. However if you could be using that 1000 bucks a year for something better, you really should.

Looking over all of the pros and cons to summarize you should figure out if you have the extra money to spend, if you want it to consume your personal life or expand it, do you really need the extra features or do you just want it to look cool.

Many people become frustrated when upgrading or buying a new cell phone. One needs to keep their needs in mind, as well as their tastes, and so, when looking for a more sophisticated phone, you want a good look, durability, great features and storage space, a long battery life, and most of all a good company that offers a guaranty. The Nokia N97 Plus is a phone that offers such things, and it is a great example at Nokia at its best.

With Nokia, when there is an expected launch of a new product, the world awaits it with much anticipation and excitement. Everybody wants to get their hands on their newest product. Here, we will take a look at the Nokia N97 Plus and all its great features.

When looking at what this phone has to offer, one would say wow! The Nokia N97 Plus includes 32 gigabytes of memory space for storing important information and can even be upgraded to 49 gigabytes. The appearance is sleek and attractive, and one cannot go wrong when choosing this Nokia phone.

All of those people who are interested in state-of-the-art models, as well as the latest technology are definitely not going to be disappointed in this particular model- the Nokia N 97 Plus. In fact, you can consider working it as a mini competitor to your bulky computer, especially when you want to store information you do not want getting in the hands of the competition!

Critics and people really like the phones hinge mechanism, that is used to open the phone in a cool manner, which works amazingly well. It has an easy to use keypad and has exceptional hardware, and superior in comparison to other cell phones of the same price point. With quick connectivity, and best of all a battery that stays charged for a long time, it is no wonder why the Nokia N97 Plus is a popular phone.

There are some Not So Smooth Points in the Nokia N 97 Plus, but one cannot have everything perfect, can one. Besides, it needs us reviewers picking away at small points to keep Nokia's research and development on their toes, so that they do not go around proclaiming that this is the best thing -- since sliced bread --, to appear in the cell phone scene.

The interface of the Nokia N97 plus can be a bit frustrating to use if you do not have slim fingers to tap the touch-screen. The applications are not the best for touching, and if you enjoy a lot of music and video playback, you may also be left wanting because the phone is not powered well. The camera application has not been improved at 5 mega pixels which was also offered in the previous model. However, considering the other features, that make up for these minute issues, Nokia offers a great phone.

Nokia offers a great phone with the N97 Plus. One gets an aesthetically pleasing design, functionality, good quality, and good use, making the this phone a great option for someone who is upgrading, or buying a new cell phone.
