Usually when you sign a long-time contract with cell phone carriers in the US, you could get a discounted new cell phone. However if you just lost or broken your cell phone in the middle of your contract, and don’s want to switch to another phone company, you probably have to pay hundreds if you opt to purchase a new cell phone from your current phone carrier.
